Most positions carry formal titles reflecting the nature of the work done to support our publishing activities, such as editor, associate editor, manager, peer reviewer, and so on. If you are interested in joining the editorial team for a specific publications—such as serving as a peer reviewer for a book series or journal—please reach out to the editors of that publication. Associate Publisher for Media

The associate publisher for media is responsible for (1) planning and overseeing the development of media collections, such as oral histories, podcasts, and conversations with members of the WAC or writing studies communities; (2) curating media, such as presentations and workshops recorded at conferences and other professional development events, archived video and audio materials, and the WAC Works videos developed and managed by the communication team; (3) leading the creation of a production team focused on media collections; and (4) coordinating work by that team. The associate publisher works with the publisher, other associate publishers, series editors, and journal editors to accomplish these goals. The associate publisher will serve as a member of the operational leadership team within the WAC Clearinghouse. The associate publisher will also serve as a member of the Clearinghouse Editorial Board.
Like all other positions with the WAC Clearinghouse, this position is voluntary and unpaid. The expected term is three years and may be renewed.

The associate publisher works with the publisher, other associate publishers, the social media director, series editors, and journal editors to accomplish these goals. The associate publisher will serve as a member of the operational leadership team within the WAC Clearinghouse. The associate publisher will also serve as a member of the Clearinghouse Editorial Board.

The WAC Clearinghouse seeks applications to join the editorial team of the Perspectives on Writing book series. The series addresses writing studies in a broad sense. Consistent with the wide-ranging approaches characteristic of teaching and scholarship in writing across the curriculum, the series presents works that take divergent perspectives on working as a writer, teaching writing, administering writing programs, and studying writing in its various forms. The successful candidates will join a collegial team of editors who meet monthly to discuss submissions and reviews of book proposal and manuscripts and to discuss and set the overall direction of the series. Successful applicants will also serve on the Clearinghouse Editorial Board.
